By visiting your island’s museum, you'll participate during a Stamp Rally. You’ll be ready to earn some wall-mounted furnishings for completing the rally. To participate, you’ll need to do the following:

Talk to Blathers.

Visit the three exhibits within the assigned section and interact with the tables.

Turn within the filled-in card to Blathers for your reward.

Repeat from step 1 for an additional Stamp Rally during a different section.
